Online newspaper

The West Highland Free Press was founded in 1972 as a left-wing weekly newspaper, but with the principal objective of providing its immediate circulation area with the service which a local paper is expected to provide.

The West Highland Free Press established a website several years ago, however like many newspapers, struggled to identify how the website could generate revenues while being of value to its customers. As a result, the website remained an online brochure for the newspaper.

Fin Macrae is a photographer based in the Scottish Highlands. He was happy with the design of his previous website, although it was in Flash and not easily updated.

MOOSE77 Design is the trading name of Alister MacInnes, a graphic designer specialising in book, branding and promotional design. Alister needed a website that reflected his personal design ethics and could be used as a portfolio for his work.
