A great website in 5 easy steps

My approach is personal and professional, and is based on a 5-step process.

5-step web development process
iFoundry website development process

Step 1: Site

This step covers the creation of the infrastructure that will run your website. Covering Domain name registration, transfers, Website, Email and Database server setup, Content Management System (CMS) installation and configuration.

Step 2: Domain

We will deal with everything relating to domain names - registering new names if you don't already have a domain name, or transfer your existing domain names. Your new website will be available for you to pre-view on our development servers prior to 'going live' on your own domain name.

Options:

FRESH START: Register a new domain name for site
RE-LAUNCH: Transfer an exisiting domain name

Step 3: Layout

Everything relating to the 'look and feel' of the website is covered here. You can choose from a list of 'standard' templates that are setup with your corporate colours and logo; we can design a layout similar to your existing site or supply a fresh new layout.

Options:

STANDARD: Select from existing templates
CUSTOM: A new template is created for you that may be reused
UNIQUE: A new template is created which will not be reused

Step 4: Content

Your new website is populated with content from your old website, corporate brochures, literature, etc. In addition, we can copywright new content for your website to 'kick-start' your new e-business.

Options:

STANDARD: Transfer of 10-20 pages of content from existing sources to new site.
BULK: Transfer larger volume of content e.g. on-line shop catalogue, etc.
COPYWRIGHT: Create new content for the site.

Step 5: People

The most important part of the process is staff training and support. Our objective is to ensure that the right people can access, update and manage the relevant parts of your new website. This may range from a straightforward chat with one person through to a formal on-site training programme delivered over several weeks.

Options:

QUICK START: Handover running of site to one or two key people that are computer literate.
IN-DEPTH: On-site training delivered to a small team, with follow-up, over two sessions.
ROLL-OUT: On-site training for large or distributed teams, typically four sessions with follow-up.
